Arpana has had eighteen solo shows. She has received the All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society Award in 1985, Commendation Certificate at the Algiers Biennale, and Gold Medal at the Sixth Triennale-India (1986), and was nominated by the Lalit Kala Akademi as the Eminent Artist (1990, '91, '92).Her works are found in private and permanent collections including NGMA, New Delhi, Ethnographic Museum Stockholm, Kust Museum Dusseldorf, Victoria& Albert Museum London and Glenberra Museum Japan, Singapore Museum of Modern Art.
