‘Art awakens a sense of real by establishing an intimate relationship between our inner being and the universe at large, bringing us a consciousness of deep joy.’  – Rabindranath Tagore

When I bestow myself before the Anwar’s painting, I often get lost into the deepest pit of my heart. I feel as if I’m standing with a candle in my hand in the midst of nature with in a civilization which is now in ruins. I could not understand how myself hood is bonded with his post modernise acrostic paintings. Perhaps the feeling also beget in other’s mind. Actually Anwar while in colour palette and canvas is an Art votary. A pantheistic mysticism, a repeated sweet murmur with in a geometric elegance are in his paintings.

If we see Anwar’s creation for a period, we could easily feel that using of colour is his masterstroke. No doubt he as an inheritor, got it from his ‘Guru’ Jagadish Swaminathan. Yet a pioneer may act of leading the way but rightly travel in different thing. This Anwar does gracefully and the colours, shades which he uses, creates a spell of illusion which traps in an unseen universe. Where spectators are bound to react constantly. And every time the onlookers discover a new signification in their mind. It is a heavenly network sometimes you discover yourself as an aboriginal man of stone age, sometimes you feel as if you are a helmsman sitting on stern hearing the sound of low tides.

All these we get from Anwar’s paintings. We couldn’t shut our eyelids at least for a moment. His using of impasto is unparalleled. As if we are seeing vivacious greens in Sahara desserts where there is no mirage. Only we and our sense perception that made itself free with life.

Anwar is an artist who fully justified his name. Myself, on the midway of my life, find the visualisation of my life of past, present, and no doubt future in his esteemed work. On the other hand sometimes I, while Standing before his creations, rediscover myself in a pervasive blue solitude and totally forget all mundane things and thoughts.

My feelings on seeing Anwar’s creations is of my own and personal. But his paintings are for all. Everyone will get perception of their own. And Anwar’s brush is Anwar’s sword….unprecedented.
