Born in 1942 in Sanjaya, Gujrat, Madhvi Parekh is strongly inspired by her husband Manu Parekh, an artist from the J.J. School of Art. Her artwork revolves around her childhood memories, folk art and Indian mythology. There is a combination of Pichwai and Kalamkari style coupled with everyday rituals such rangoli. All of the artist’s artworks narrate a story or a past life experience.
The self taught artist has displayed his artwork at many prominent domestic as well international exhibitions such as London, Amsterdam, New York, Australia and Kuwait.
Madhvi Parekh has participated in multiple group shows under our art gallery namely, Nav Nayika (2002), The Essence Art Show- Egypt (2006), Faces (2008) and Zip Files (2009).
The self- taught artist lives and works out of Delhi.
