ALI AKBAR MEHTA

Born in 1983, Ali Akbar Mehta is a graduate in fine arts from Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai. The artist categorically defines his work as “Transmedia Contemporary Art”. The artist’s multi disciplinary works range across diverse media from oil painting and drawing to digital painting, photography, video, documentation and archival work. Trying to create his signature space in this deep art world, the artist has tried to integrate art with technology. His work has been a part of our past group show titled “Beyond Canvas”, focusing on a simple message that art can be beyond paints, brushes and the canvas.

The artist draws  inspiration from past narratives, memories, conflicts, and violence. The artists’ versatile and unique artworks have been displayed in various exhibitions and shows in the country, as well as at charitable auctions internationally at Dubai and New York.

He currently lives and works out of Mumbai.
