Born in 1965 in Tamluk, West Bengal, the artist completed his Masters in Fine Arts from the College of Art, New Delhi. The past two decades, the artist has completely proved his mastery towards striking vibrancy in colors and using the right balance of colors in his artwork. The vibrancy of color inspired the artist to re- create the Air, Water, Fire, Earth and Sky in his artwork. The artist has displayed his work across multiple surfaces such as canvas, board, paper and copper.
With deep patriotic feelings and gratitude towards freedom, the artist recreated the iconic Dandi March in his artwork, paying a tribute to the Father of our Nation.
The artist has received multiple awards such as the All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society Award for Best WaterColor Painting, New Delhi (1990); Award from Indian Society of Oriental Art (1986) and a Gold Medal from Russia, and many more.
He lives and works out of Delhi.
